Lapland Wilderness Tours
has been conducting dog sledding tours in our northern Scandinavia region since 1983. We operate in a wilderness setting with a variety of trails from the tundra lowlands to the high mountain area around Mt. Kebnekaise and Abisko National Park in Lapland.
We have our own resident professional guides all of whom have many years of experience working with our sled dog activities and assure our clients top instruction, supervision and a memorable holiday...
We operate our dog sledding tours from our well equiped Mushers Lodge in Kauppinen, from here all of our tours visit our wilderness base camp where oil lamps and candles provide the light, fires of native wood provide the heat and rustic cabins the shelter. There are also simple cabins along our scenic tour trails which we use on our longer tours.
Our all-inclusive meals consist mainly of local specialities prepared on the trail and in our huts. Please contact us if you have any special requirements.
