Meet our staff !

The long history of Lapland Wilderness Tours' success comes together with our experienced and reliable staff ! Here you can meet some members of our crew that will give their best to make YOUR dog sledding tour an unforgettable journey.

 

Daniela Hohn

Daniela 

Born in 1978 in Gießen/Germany

In Germany she studied sports and English. But already during her time at university Daniela got in contact with sleddogs,when she took a 12 months-break to work in Northern Sweden in 2002. Dogsledding is known to be a strongly contagious business and so also Daniela came back to Sweden in 2005 and started to work for LWT.
Since then she is working for the company year round and takes care of the "Musherslodge"-dogs.

 

Jan Borinski

Jan 

Born in 1979 in Siegen/Germany

Jan came to Sweden first time in 2002 to make some experiences with sleddogs. Before he used to work as lumberjack in Germany.
In his first one and a half years in Lapland he made his first steps in the dogsledding-business in different kennels before he started to work for LWT in 2003.
Now he´s employed by the company year round as a guide and takes care - together with Daniela - of app. 70 dogs, including their 13 own huskies.

 

Hannes Haßler

Hannes 

Hannes Haßler, born in 1984, went to school in Germany until 2004. After civilian service he did an apprenticeship as landscape gardener. His first journey to Scandinavia in summer 2007 brought him to Östersund. There he worked nine months as a doghandler and later on as guide for a tour-operator for dog sledding tours. The winter season 2008/09 is his first season as guide for Lapland Wilderness Tours.
Johannes is interested in fishing, knife-making and nature. He became a sleddog-guide because he simply likes the handling and the work with dogs. Johannes is an outdoor person, he enjoys to meet people and to give them a good time in the nature and with the dogs.

Johannes' aim for 2009 is to start his studies as landscape architect - but you never know...

 

Sabine Lösch

Sabine 

Sabine Lösch was born in 1969 in Germany. She is a biotechnology engineer. Sabine works with dogs since 1993. At the beginning with SAR dogs later on with sleddogs. She started to work as a guide in 2001.

 

Einar Lindblom

Einar Lindblom was born in 1963. He has two children and several own sleddogs. In the late 1980’s Einar started to work with sleddogs and since then he didn’t stop. During the summer he is a fishing- and rafting-guide.

 

Eric Pireyn

Born in 1963 in Belgium. Eric startet working with sleddogs in 1996. Since 2000 Eric is working as guide for Lapland Wilderness Tours. Eric is mostly working with his 16 own dogs.

 

Lubos Jenca

Born in 1985 in Domanovce, Slovakia. He's an educated carpenter and works as guide for Lapland Wilderness Tours since 2006
Lubos is going to take care about Taistos' dogs as handler during this season's sleddog races.

 

Kent "Hugo" Hugosson

Hugo bought his first sleddog back in 1981 - a male Greenland-dog that changed Hugo's life ! Hugo has been working with Lapland Wilderness Tours from the beginning and will also guide groups this winterseason.

 

Milos Gonda

Milos Gonda was born in 1977 and has been working with sleddogs since 1992. The season 2008/2009 is Milos fourth's season as guide for Lapland Wilderness Tours

 

Jan Sloszar

Jan was born in 1984. Since 1998 he has been working with sleddogs and since 2004 he's working as guide for Lapland Wilderness Tours
